VOICESVOICES

is a band I started at the beginning of 2008, with the premise of creating sounds I had never heard before. We recorded our first EP in Los Angeles at an art gallery by July of that same year and released in by October, playing a release show at LA's Satellite Club (formerly Spaceland) with Rio En Medio. Prefuse 73 found us in 2009, Manimal Vinyl Records signed us, and we recorded our next EP in NYC at Prefuse 73's home studio.

We went on two tours at the end of 2009/beginning of 2010. First, Europe with Brightblack Morning Light; then the United States with Prefuse 73, and the Gaslamp Killer. Why we toured in the winter is beyond me. Buffalo, NY, Paris and Scandinavia were favorites.

The last thing we recorded was a cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes' for the Manimal Vinyl Tribute Record, 'We Were So Turned On: A Tribute To David Bowie'
